Green Card Lottery

Also known as the Diversity Immigrant Visa Program.

Each year, fifty thousand (50,000) US immigration visa are available through this program. If you receive the Green Card in the lottery, you and your family are eligible to live and work in the United States of America.

Who can apply?

Almost anyone born outside the USA can apply for the Green Card Lottery. Nationals of next countries can not apply for the program:

Canada
China (mainland)
Colombia
Dominican Republic
El Salvador
Haiti
India
Jamaica
Mexico

Pakistan
Philippines
Russia
South Korea
United Kingdom (except Northern Ireland) and its dependent territories
Vietnam

When and how to apply?

All applicants must submit their applications for the Green Card Lottery online, usually between November and January. An online application form will be available only during this period. Paper entries will not be accepted.

If you haven't got a good access to the Internet, you can use an agent who will submit the application for the Green Card Lottery on your behalf.
